Join Wawa, now hiring Customer Service Associate in Manassas, VA, Associates works alongside the store management team to deliver exceptional customer service, handle food and beverage preparation, manage cash registers, maintain store cleanliness, and perform related duties. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring a positive customer experience that aligns with Wawa’s vision.

Principal Duties:

  • Greet customers warmly and provide an enjoyable shopping experience.
  • Address customer requests and complaints promptly and courteously, using the GREAT customer service model.
  • Communicate customer concerns to the management team.
  • Operate cash registers, scan items, bag merchandise, and handle various forms of payment.
  • Maintain proper cash levels and assist with lottery purchases, fuel, and gift card activations.
  • Comply with federal and state laws by verifying customer identification for age-restricted purchases.
  • Stock and refill products in various store areas.
  • Prepare made-to-order food and beverages according to recipes or customer preferences.
  • Ensure cleanliness in food and beverage areas, following established procedures.
  • Follow safety, security, quality, and store operations policies and procedures.
  • Perform store housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, dusting, sweeping, and trash disposal.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safe working conditions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by store management.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Ability to work well individually and in a team environment.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Willingness to learn and adhere to FSRA process and procedures.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to learn and demonstrate all Wawa Safety and Quality Assurance processes and procedures.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, handle, reach, and grasp throughout a shift.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 35 lbs.
  • Must be at least 16 years old.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must wear slip-resistant shoes at all times.
  • Must be able to tolerate exposure to cleaning products.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Pursuit of or high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior food service and/or customer service experience preferred.
